Continuing with the METAPOLIS research and publications, the Master in Advanced Architecture, organized by the IAAC and directed by Vicente Guallart, is an international one-year research program. It focuses on architecture, understood as a discipline that encompasses different scales ranging from: territorial analysis, urban development, architectural projects and digital fabrications to informational environments.
Each year, a specific theme is purposely defined for the Master Program. According to this theme, IaaC organises a series of interdisciplinary seminars, workshops, trips, investigations, projects and publications with multidisciplinar an international character.
The specific design projects are approached from a multi-scale perspective, encouraging the students to further and refine their knowledge, reflection and professional skills in relation to territorial, urban, architectonic and informational fields (“from bits to geography”). This provides them with a broader vision on the urban and territorial phenomena.
In recent years trips and investigations have been focused on Brazil, Croatia, Slovenia and Taiwan |
